Supporting your child's mental health

Support For Parents

Giving children the opportunities to discuss their mental health and wellbeing, breaks down barriers, when children feel comfortable discussing their worries, it helps them understand that mental health is a normal part of life and nothing to be ashamed of. These conversations can strengthen your bond with them, making them feel seen, understood, and supported, creating a safe space where children can feel comfortable to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without judgement.  Starting the conversations can be tricky the ‘Talk. They hear you’ app can support you to prepare for conversations and the Combined Minds app can help to support a child when they are diagnosed with a mental health condition.

Talk. They hear you.

The “Talk. They Hear You.”® app is here to help you have those important conversations with your kids about alcohol and drugs. It shows you how to turn everyday moments into opportunities to talk, giving you the skills and confidence to keep the conversation going as they grow. While it's focused on parents of kids under 21, the app also supports schools and communities in helping kids who might be struggling with substance use or mental health issues. You're not alone – this app is a tool to help you navigate these tough but crucial talks.
